When a person with dementia is in palliative care, family members often want and need to be by their side. Due to measures to ensure safety during the COVID-19 pandemic, face-to-face visits may no longer be possible but there are things that you can do.

This helpsheet outlines some things to consider that may help family members of a person with dementia who is at the end of their life and in aged care. The importance of making sure an advance care plan is in place and you understand the person's wishes, spiritual care and the need to look after yourself are described.
