DSA’s new models of service delivery for people and their carers provide flexible and accessible learning tools, with a focus on the value of shared experiences and peer support underpinning these three flagship programs.
Staying at Home Program provides opportunities for carers and people with dementia to meet others who are going through the same experiences in a safe and supportive environment.
Carer Conversations is a partnership program with the Australian Frontotemporal Dementia Association where carers supporting someone living with Frontotemporal Dementia can join in a regular conversation (in person or online) with industry professionals helping with practical behaviour support advice.
It takes a village webinar series is an online series designed to empower carers to support a person living with dementia to remain at home for as long as possible.

Through integrating expert education and behaviour support advice, alongside peer support, these programs aim to help build confidence for both the carer and their loved one living with dementia through a range of shared experiences, to help navigate the challenges they may be facing.
Their other purpose is to reassure the carer and their loved one that they are not facing these challenges alone, and present opportunities to engage in a supportive environment where other participants understand what they are going through, wherever they may live.
